Police Department
The Lancaster Police Department is a full time agency, staffed by 7 full time officers and a number of part time officers. Our reception area is staffed from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm Monday – Thursday with our secretary. After 3:00 pm, a voice message will direct you to contact the Grant County Sheriff’s Department for emergency situations. For non-emergencies, please leave a message and an Officer will return your call as soon as possible.
Thanks.
Programs either conducted or supported by our Police Department
- Police Pals - This is a program delivered by most of our officers in which the officers introduce themselves to grade schoolers and explaining our function as police.
- Bike Safety - The bike safety program is delivered by Chief Zabel. This is delivered in the spring prior to the end of the school year, so our children will have the safety lessons in their thoughts during the summer recess.
- Packer Card Giveaway - The Department along with local businesses purchase and give out Packer cards every year. This has proven very popular with the youth in our community.
